During this two-day course, gain an in-depth understanding of the ART, how it delivers value, and what you can do to effectively perform your role using Scrum, Kanban, and XP. Learn how to write stories and break down features, plan and execute iterations, and plan Program Increments. SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager 5.0

Develop the skillsets needed to guide the delivery of value in a Lean enterprise by becoming a SAFe® 5 Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM). During this two-day course, attendees gain an in-depth understanding of how to effectively perform their role in the Agile Release Train (ART) as it delivers value through Program Increments.

Attendees explore how to apply Lean thinking to decompose Epics into Features and Stories, refine Features and Stories, manage Program and Team backlogs, and to plan and execute Iterations and Program Increments. SAFe Advanced Scrum Master 5.0

This two-day course prepares current Scrum Masters for their leadership role in facilitating Agile team, program, and enterprise success in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe®) implementation.

The course covers facilitation of cross-team interactions in support of program execution and relentless improvement. It enhances the Scrum paradigm with an introduction to scalable engineering and DevOps practices, the application of Kanban to facilitate the flow of value, and supporting interactions with architects, product management, and other critical stakeholders in the larger program and enterprise contexts. The course also offers actionable tools for building high-performing teams and explores practical ways of addressing Agile and Scrum anti-patterns in the enterprise.

Training from the BACK of the Room

The official 2-day “Training from the BACK of the Room” Practitioner Class is a globally-acclaimed, interactive, skills-building train-the-trainer class for anyone who is a trainer, teacher, instructor, coach, or facilitator of learning. 

In this 2-day TBR Practitioner Class, you’ll explore how the human brain really learns, which is very different from traditional assumptions about learning. And you’ll be introduced to “cognitive neuroscience” concepts – the brain science behind all effective instructional design and human learning.

During the class, you’ll explore six powerful learning principles based on the best of brain science. You’ll be able to apply these principles every time you train, teach, instruct, or coach others. You’ll also experience and collect dozens of interactive instructional strategies that you can use with any topic and any group of learners. You’ll use the 4Cs Map – a powerful 4-step instructional design and delivery model – to create a training plan specific to a topic you already teach.

Next Public Course

Scrum for Teams 

This two-day course prepares teams for working agile. The course is for those teams who are not working within a SAFe set-up, but has an agile or non-agile way of working, and want to improve how they work as a team.

On the first day the focus is on establishing teamwork and baselining the understand of agile methods in the team. On day two, the team creates the backlog for their first iteration/sprint, using what they have learned in day 1.

The course is not a certification course, but will significantly boost the team morale and performance. It can be customized to fit the operational model of your organization.

Rune is an Agile Transformation Coach/Release Train Engineer with expert competences in agile methods including practical experience in the implementation on program- and team level.

Experienced in design and implementation of lean agile prioritization processes on all organizational levels and across customer-vendor relationships. Substantial experience in facilitating the refinement process on all levels of the organization, including epic and feature level workshops with senior stakeholders, creating shared understanding, shared planning, shared ownership and trust.

Expert agile trainer and coach (SAFe, Scrum, Facilitation) with experience from 20+ teams and a very high course rating from participants. Extensive experience in the roles of Scrum Master, Agile Product Owner and Project Manager with the ability to relate to the practical details of working agile.

Experienced servant leader in programs with multiple teams spread across multiple locations. Experience from a wide range of technological and commercial domains from mainframe carve out (backend) to app development (frontend), with the ability to understand complex business processes as well as architectural considerations.
